There will be many activities happening at the Discovery Pier on Saturday, June 7, when Campbell River celebrates Oceans Day. This fun-filled and free family oriented event takes place in the parking lot next to the Maritime Heritage Centre from 10 a.m .to 3 p.m. The Centre for Aquatic Health Sciences has looked after overall organization of Oceans Day for the second year in a row, and the manager of the Discovery Passage Aquarium, Lidia Davidovics, took on coordinating the event.

“We are excited about all the participants who have come forward this year,” says Lidia. “We have Heather Gordon-Murphy’s group the Raincoast Creative Performing Arts returning, and new this year is Lutini the magician who will appear on stage. and stroll through the crowd afterwards.”
