BC CAHS performs an in vitro bioassay protocol to determine the sensitivity of sea lice to treatments of emamectin benzoate (EMB).

Applications:  This information can provide fish health experts an additional tool to help make decisions about treatment with EMB throughout the growing cycle.

Bioassays also have the potential to provide information about changes in sensitivity to EMB at the sea lice population level.
